Medallion Viper Malibu Touch Command MTC Screen
The 6.5-inch Medallion MTC Screen commonly fails in several ways that prevent normal operation of the boat.
Multiple failure modes include:
- Delamination of the digitizer glass from the LCD panel, characterized by a bubbling appearing behind the glass
- Loss of touch response
- Intermittent freezing caused by CPU lock-up, temporarily resolved by cycling power
- Blank or black display caused by backlight inverter burnout
- Distorted graphics due to LCD panel failure
